CALL TO ORDER

MINUTES
A motion was made by Walter Phillips to waive the reading of the Minutes of January 11, 2022 since they were posted on Next Door Lake Estelle and www.lakeestellehoa.com. Also, you can always go back to previous minutes to reference some issue discussed at any time. Seconded by Rose Putman. Minutes corrected as indicated on the Treasurer’s Report below.
OFFICERS REPORTS AND COMMITTEES
Treasurer’s Fourth Quarter 2021 Summary Report ending balance should have read: $11,485.15.
A last minute Gulf Power bill came in and was paid on 12/30/2021 for $16.77 which made the ending balance for the 2021 year $11,485.15.
Treasurer’s First Quarter 2022 Summary Report:
$11,485.15 Beginning Balance 01/01/2022
+ 2,323.00 Deposits (Dues)
- 222.64 Less Expenses
----------------------------------------------
$13,585.51 Ending Balance 03/31/2022
Vice President Report: No report
Architectural Committee: No report.
Volunteers: We still need volunteers for the Welcome/Brevement Committee, Beautification Committee and Yard Sale Committee. Please consider volunteering for one of these positions. They take very little of your time.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS
Front Entrance Sign Repair:
Front sign has been power washed and all loose stucco peeled and chipped off. Volunteers will repaint. This should be complete within a few weeks, weather permitting. Once this is complete, we ask that no one put hooks into the stucco.
Fence Repair:
The fence is askew in a few areas due to the roots from the larger trees on the other side of the fence bulging up and lifting the fence. Our plan to clean out all brush and cut the roots came to a screeching halt when we were invaded by fire ants. Andy Andresen will contact our landscaper to see if he is willing to take this on for an extra fee along with disposing the old fencing boards still at the site.
R.V. Park:
There are no updates on the RV Park North addition. Bob Armstrong has been in contact with the County Review Board of Access Management at the Engineers office. His contact (Jason) said any new proposed projects go through his desk and he assured Robert of that. If it doesn’t pass all the criteria, it doesn’t get approved. Bob will stay in contact him.
Regarding the concrete short driveway at the end of Howard Dean, no one seems to know what the purpose is. Walter thinks there is an easement where the statue is but will check on it.
Yard Sale:
The possibility of having a yard sale is still being tossed about but no one has come forward to take charge of handling this event. Contact Andy if you are interested in chairing the yard sale (putting up signs, naming a date, advertising on Next Door Lake Estelle and Neighbors, etc.)
NEW BUSINESS
Daniel Dillard, son of Erick and Kim, was in the hospital briefly and is now home resting comfortably. A gift and card will be brought over from the homeowners wishing him a speedy recovery.
Flag:
Walter will order a new 4’ x 6’ American flag to replace the tattered one at the front entrance to Lake Estelle.
Dues:
Reminder: If you haven’t paid your dues yet, they will remain the same for 2022: $60.00.
NEXT MEETING
There being no further business, Walter Phillips made the motion to adjourn, seconded by Rose Putman. Meeting adjourned at 7:40 PM.
The next meeting will be held on Zoom at www.lakeestellehoa.com on July 12, 2022, at 7:00 PM unless otherwise noted on our website and Next Door Lake Estelle.
