ARCHITECTURAL COMMITTEE:

We are looking for someone to chair this position.  George Levy is presently Acting Chairman, but as Treasurer he is relinquishing this position.  At the present time we have Gettys Allen, Robert Armstrong and Jannie Hixon on the Committee.  Perhaps one of you would like to Chair this position.  Please consider volunteering.  Call any of our Board members listed above.  We also need volunteers for the Welcome/Brevement Committee and Beautification Committee.  In the meantime we have a new homeowner and Andy Andresen and Robert Armstrong will deliver a basket or plant welcoming them to the neighborhood.  Rose Putnam also delivered flowers to Jannie Hixon, whose husband passed away last month.  (She has since retired after many years on this committee).

AUDIT COMMITTEE:

The Audit was completed and will be posted on Next Door Lake Estelle.

UNFINISHED BUSINESS:

Fence Repair:   Three Options were presented:

  1. Repair only by volunteers:  Cost approximately $500 per month (3 mos., totaling $1,500.)
  2. Full replacement by volunteers:  Approximately $4,000.
  3. Full replacement by contractor: Approximately $9,000.

After much discussion, motion was made by George Levy to go with Option 1:  Replace only sections needed at this time starting at the front entrance and working to the back, with a focus on making it look both good and storm ready.  It was agreed that after the repairs were finished we would decide whether to do additional improvements (power wash the existing good sections, and seal/stain so the whole fence looks uniform).  Tyrone Grace seconded.  If we get enough volunteers, much can be accomplished before our next meeting.

NEW BUSINESS:

Josh Hiller brought to our attention that the Pensacola North RV Park on Pine Forest is planning on expanding.  The property has already been bought and is being surveyed.  This will impact the back yards of homes located at the north end of Lillie Lane, Langford Ct., and Howard Dean Lane.  The park may butt up against some of those back yards that are right up against the fence boundary.  Most of the purchased property is wetlands.  Jeff Bergosh was contacted and seemed unaware of the impact it will have.  Josh Hiller agreed to head the Committee and will focus on the homeowners directly affected that live on those streets to be on the committee.  Meanwhile, Josh will gather information and report on this issue at our next meeting.

OTHER ITEMS:

None.

NEXT MEETING:

There being no further business, Andy Andresen made the motion to adjourn, seconded by Tyrone Grace.

Meeting adjourned at 8:23 pm.

The next meeting will be held on Zoom at lakeestellehoa.com on July 13, at 7:00 pm, if COVID is still active.  If the situation changes, venue of next meeting will be posted in Next Door Lake Estelle.
